The word meditation comes with a loaded perception of a person sitting cross legged with their palms open resting on their knees, trying to think of nothing.

Meditation does not mean thinking about nothing, it’s a way of observing and acknowledging your thoughts without giving any weight to them. You can simply be seated in a chair, sitting against a wall, at your desk, or even laying in bed.

Using an App like Headspace allows users to experience a variety of mediation techniques which can be used everyday. There are packs designed for health, mental health, happiness, work & performance, students and sports specific meditations.  The guided meditations are anywhere from three minutes up to one hour.
